“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” —Kahlil Gibran, writer, poet, artist, and philanthropist
What has changed in the past two weeks? I've been getting up at 4 – 4:30 am every morning and working to get my business off the ground.
The reality is this isn’t the first time I have felt this motivated and driven to complete a task or to become successful at a business. However, all those times before we weren’t plagued with the Coronavirus. I know, I know… many of you might be sick and tired of hearing about this virus.
To be honest, SO AM I!!!
I’m tired of hearing about it all together - I just want it to go away.
I've also started to accept that this virus isn't going away anytime soon - or ever.
We're a long, long way from people not getting sick and some people think this virus will be something we’ll just have to live with like the flu.
Regardless of our personal feelings about this, a few personal realities remain true for me.
My grandfather passed in April from this virus;
We’ve had three positive cases in my family - thankfully they all recovered but it was intense;
My family, including my parents, have been furloughed or laid off;
My mom is afraid of losing her house.
There are a few ways to look at this situation but only one will serve me.
I gotta hustle to get my family financially free. There are no other options! This virus has shown me how unreliable all the things we rely on are. We expect jobs to take care of us and give us the finances to provide for our families. These same jobs will lay you off in a moment’s notice. Nothing is guaranteed or certain during uncertain times.-Autumn Lindor
These thoughts aren’t depressing to me. They are motivating! Coronavirus has reminded me in a very real way that I’ve got a lot to do for my family and very little time to get it done. While it’s extremely tempting, I can’t spend that time watching Netflix, worrying about entanglements or partying.
Coronavirus has afforded me the opportunity to look inward and finally make real moves toward the life of my dreams. It started with engaging on social media and connecting with influential people, It has transformed into waking up before the sun comes up and has now evolved into being coached by people in my industry (Including Rhonda), attending networking events online and creating the focused energy required to accomplish my tasks.
The world as we know it is changing and I’m not looking forward to going “back to normal.” Normal was a myth, normal was the matrix for lack of a better analogy. Pre-coronavirus was a way of life that benefited only a few people. My new normal post-coronavirus will be the life I always wanted to live. I'm gonna take the pain and confusion and use it towards coming out of this better and bigger. -Autumn Lindor
